Why we donate 50% of our profits — permanently

Salehi Industries was founded in April 2026. Not to make money. But to prove something: that art can remember — and act.

From the very beginning it was clear that this project should be more than a shop. The photographs are taken on the streets of Paris, Hamburg, Lisbon, Berlin, Mallorca, and Accra — places full of beauty, contrasts, and humanity. And that humanity should not just end up on paper.

The decision

50% of profits. Permanently. No expiry date, no campaign, no fine print.

This decision was not a marketing strategy. It was a consequence. Anyone doing documentary photography — capturing people fleeing, in poverty, in dignity — cannot pretend it is just a picture. It is a responsibility.

Why these three organisations?

We did not choose Sea-Watch, Doctors Without Borders, and the World Food Programme by chance. We chose organisations that work where it is hardest — on the Mediterranean, in conflict zones, in the poorest regions of the world.

Sea-Watch saves people risking their lives. Doctors Without Borders treats people who have no other medical care. WFP fights hunger where it is greatest. Three organisations, one shared stance: act when others look away.

What this means in practice

Since April 2026 we have already donated approx. €400. For a young project that has only existed for a few weeks, that is a start we are proud of. And it grows with every purchase.

When you buy a print, you are not just hanging a picture on the wall. You are supporting sea rescue. You are funding emergency medical aid. You are fighting hunger. No extra effort, no extra cost.

Art as a stance

Documentary photography always has a stance. It shows what is — not what should be. Salehi Industries tries to live that stance in its business model too: not just to show, but to act.

That is why we donate 50%. And why we will do it forever.

Buy Art. Do Good. It’s that simple.
