The Eiffel Tower — beyond the clichés
The classic, but done well: from the Trocadéro at sunrise you'll have the tower almost to yourself. For a calm, symmetrical perspective, the Rue de l'Université is worth it. Most magical is the blue hour, when the tower glows golden.
Notre-Dame & the Seine
Around the Île de la Cité you'll find Paris at its most timeless. The bridges over the Seine offer quiet views of the cathedral, especially in the warm afternoon light.

The covered passages
Away from the street hide the Passages Couverts of the 19th century — such as the Galerie Vivienne. Glass roofs, mosaic floors and warm light make them one of the most beautiful indoor spots in the city.
Markets, kiosks & street life
The real Paris lives on the street: magazine kiosks, flower stalls and markets deliver colour and character. Early in the morning the light is soft and the scenes are still quiet.

Architecture & symmetry
The Haussmann façades, courtyards and boulevards are an invitation for symmetrical compositions. Look for leading lines and centred perspectives, ideally in the golden light of late afternoon.
